Baby Veggies

Small Step has been harvesting all sorts of baby veggies for local restaurants and the farmers market. Carrots, beets, potatoes, summer squashes, hericot vert, head lettuces, fennel- all desired in the smaller size!

Small Step Farm is a place of growth. It represents a partnership between farmer and landowner, with a vision to transform a field into an edible landscape.

We grow high quality produce for our local restaurants and retail markets, and have just expanded to having a 20 person work-trade program.

Tuesday and Friday late morning in the Mad River Valley, Waterbury and Montpelier.

You can pick up orders at the farm any day! Call or e-mail.

work-trade program

Be part of Small Step! You and your family will have all the veggies you can eat all season long!

Work with us 4 hours/week; 8am-noon or noon-4pm.

Learn everything from greenhouse seeding and transplanting to harvesting and packing. Get to know your farmers, the other work-traders, and all our families at farm gatherings!
